A wedding is a union of two hearts who decided to stay forever. It is the start of a new chapter in a couple’s life. It is the time when these couples decide to be unavailable in the market and start a family of their own. A ceremony signifies this union and is usually attended by their friends and families.
Over the years, wedding themes acquired a different twist. Gone were those days when it is just done either in a church, a beach or a garden. Now, people had started being creative in the way they want their wedding to look. Some even go to the extremes of celebrating theirs while deep in the water, or while several thousand feet above ground, skydiving. Really extreme, but hey, it is their style. Another trend that pushed itself to the forefront is the destination wedding.
A destination wedding is the type of wedding wherein the ceremony is set in a place away from home. Sometimes it is within a country, but there are times when couples take it to the next level and choose something that is located in an international scene. The reason for the place of destination varies. It may be that this place made an impact on the lives of the couple. It can also simply be that this destination is somewhere the couple wants to celebrate their honeymoon in. Either way, the decorations are arranged in a way that is suitable to your liking. You can either bring your own officiator or just get it from there. You can also bring with your team of makeup artists. You can customize everything the way you prefer.
Seems easy and smooth sailing right? While it looks like it, it poses some problems too. Holding your wedding away from home can be stressful especially if you don’t know what resources you tap. While it is possible for your wedding to be a DIY project, there is a need for you to ask for professional help if you are choosing a destination that is unfamiliar to you. It is understandable if perhaps once or twice you already did scout the place, but how about the reception and the suppliers for all the wedding needs? You can bring with you only as much, but this still won’t cover everything. In addition to that, it would still be so much cheaper if you just purchase some wedding needs there other than having them shipped especially overseas. With that being said, you should be able to find someone professional enough to meet your needs.
Many companies nowadays specialize in destination wedding so if you are looking for one, then this won’t anymore be a hardship to you. The real challenge now is determining if they are a legit one. In this case, you can do a research. Do it as if you are checking for those companies who says, “we buy houses TX” if you are planning to sell your property. Do not be fooled by those who are hiding behind a mask. Do a thorough fact-checking before settling on any companies you find.

Blanc Training Academy
Blanc Academy was founded by Neysa Berman in June of 2009. The curriculum was created in three levels to teach the fundamentals, intermediate, and advanced techniques of hair styling and professional make-up application to a small group of carefully selected girls. These girls have now become our professional bridal styling team. Our classes are small and intimate, but we are always open to new talent (especially certified masseuses and manicurists). If you are interested in applying, and live in the Cabo San Lucas area, please feel free to send us your information.
Meredith & Zac’s wedding
They were married one year ago today at Cabo Del Sol Golf Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. On that day, our team of talented stylists worked their magic on Meredith and 6 guests. When we have a larger group we always send enough stylists so that the time needed to get ready is under 5 hours. Because let’s face it, no-one wants to spend too long getting ready.
We always love working at Cabo Del Sol because they have the most perfect set up for brides and their bridal party. Not only do they cater to the ladies all day long with breakfast and lunch menus, there is plenty of space for everyone to relax. Each person has their own personal locker, there are showers, plenty of room for our stylists to set up and wonderful lighting for make-up application. The photos taken of the bride getting ready always turn out nicely because of the lighting. Additionally, there is a spot for the dress to be hung, there is a table with a mirror for all the detail shots. The only thing that its missing is a live D.J. – Haha, just kidding, we always bring music since they don’t have bluetooth yet in the dressing room. But that’s a minor detail and now everyone always has a speaker with them somehow… Regardless, it’s pretty much the perfect spot to get ready.
Okay enough about Cabo Del Sol- Meredith and Zac made such a beautiful couple, let’s talk about her bridal look: For her make-up we used MAC prolong wear foundation after prepping her skin with Smashbox’s Photo Finish Primer. Next, we used Anastasia of Beverly Hills brow dip to define her brows, for her eyeshadow a combination of MAC’s “Brown Script” & “Espresso” with a hint of “Amber Lights” to make them “pop”. For her cheeks we used “Peaches” Blush and Anastasia of Beverly Hills Contouring Palette. We finished off the look with “Shanghai Spice” Lipstick and “Lovenectar” Gloss from MAC.
I remember that before the trial Meredith was unsure if she wanted to wear her hair down parted to the side with thick waves, or if she wanted wear it in a bridal half-up / half- down hairstyle with side swept curls. After considering both options, they decided on a down-do hairstyle with a deep side part & Hollywood waves. She had a long veil for the ceremony which we removed for the reception and replaced it with a decorative hair comb. Meredith had long, thick and slightly wavy hair, which we first prepped with “Grip” Mouse from Schwartzcopf and “Blow & Go Thick” . We then set it in curls until they cooled down. Next the waves were brushed out, the base of the style teased lightly and the curls shaped and defined with a strong hold hairspray. Lastly the veil was placed and Meredith was ready to walk down the aisle.
Hope you had enjoyed!
